DONALD G. FELL began his professional career as a college economics professor and later administrator. Throughout his career he has combined both academia and business endeavors
For over 30 years he has worked with the Davis, CA based Foundation for Teaching Economics in both designing and teaching a variety of economics programs related to global economics, environmental economics and economic policy. These programs have been conducted in 44 states, throughout Canada, the Islands and Eastern Europe. Most recently he designed a program on Entrepreneurship in the Global Economy, which he taught at both the University of Chicago and Yale University and a program on The Environment and The Economy which he taught at the University of California – Santa Barbara,
His other academic endeavors have included serving as a member of the University of South Florida College of Business Executive MBA faculty, Director of Executive and Professional Education, and Senior Fellow for the Institute for Public Policy and Leadership
Don has taught Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics, Labor Relations and Money and Banking at the undergraduate level and Public Administration, Global Economics and Managerial Economics, as well as The Business of Medicine, at the graduate level. He is a member of the national faculty for the Foundation for Teaching Economics and is past president of the National Association of Economic Educators. In addition to USF, he has taught at The Ohio State University, Ilinois State University and La Rochelle University School of Business (Visiting MBA Professor) in La Rochelle, FR.
Additionally, he has worked as a manufacturing engineering and econometric consultant for Sundstrand Corporation, a lecturer at the University of Costa Rica, a program consultant for the New York City-based Council on Economic Education, a consultant for PERC, a Bozeman, MT.-based market focused environmental think tank, the International Risk Management Symposium in Nanjing, China, and as strategy consultant for a variety of law firms, orchestras, and nonprofit organizations.
He is ( founding board member of Trade Health, Inc.(NASDAQ: MEDS) and Integrated Wellness Acquisition Corp. (NYSE: WEL), and past board member of Aesther Healthcare Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: AEHA), Semper Paratus Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ:LGST) and Fiona, an Indian-based water purification manufacturing company.
Until an Achilles injury he was an avid tennis player, being a member of a past USTA national championship team, a tepid golfer and now an enthusiastic home chef and rescuer of two constant companion kittens.
