Art Class: Ram Island Lighthouse

Description

Learn how to:
Alter your photo to make an appealing landscape with color and design.
Mask with different products to leave whites.
Create interesting shadows.
Mix and blend watercolors to make secondary, varied colors.
Find and emphasize a center of interest.
Mix and blend colors.
Use a limited palette of 6 colors to create realism and excitement.
Paint colors: Quin. Rose, Quin. Gold, Lemon Yellow, Ultramarine Blue, Pthalo Blue, Indigo
These colors are exact. Others will not substitute so don’t buy a set.
We will start with a line drawing that you’ll trace onto your paper. Then we’ll paint step by step to complete the painting. Beginners welcome.

$35 for class. Supplies purchased separately from teacher (call first), online or art store, or rented for $7 for this class. I accept check, CC, cash, Zelle, Paypal or Venmo.

Bring these items: 1/4 sheet Arches #140 watercolor paper 11×15 (not Strathmore), Palette with large mixing areas for paint, Watercolor brushes, Pencil, Waterproof board, Masking Tape, Paper towels, Sponge, Water Container, Spray Bottle, Old Wash Cloth
