Description

Have fun with clay! The goal of this workshop is to make a plate/platter and/or a mug using slabs and templates.

Level: beginning

This is a two-part workshop hosted on September 6th and 20th from 1-3pm.

Part 1- you will learn how to use the slab roller and create a platter and/or mug with the use of a press mold and/or templates.

Part 2- you will glaze your projects.

Workshop fee $85.00

Materials include clay, bisque firing, glaze and glaze firing.

Basic tool kit $16.00 which includes (1) each: Small synthetic sponge, metal needle tool, 5 wood modeling tools, cutting wire, fettling knife, rubber rib and scoring tool.

Please bring: apron, towel, small bowl for water (yogurt or ice cream tub works great), plastic for covering your piece (dry clean bag), anything you think can be used as stamp (buttons, lace, doilie, or anything with an interesting surface).
