It’s that time to break out of Cresswind and do an art project.  This is a private event for Cresswind residents only.

Board & Brush Creative Studio is a DIY Workshop experience! You’ll be coming in for one of our Pick-Your-Project (PYP) workshops. You will choose from over 900 available designs; the cost is $73-78. That price includes all materials needed to complete your project. During your scheduled class we guide you through the steps of distressing, sanding, staining, painting, and stenciling a beautiful piece of wood decor for your home or office. Guests can choose from eight stain colors and nearly 100 colors of paint to truly personalize their design.

Each attendee must register for and select their project no later than 1 week prior to your workshop through the link provided below.

• Guests should plan to arrive at 6pm to check in, grab a drink and a bite to eat, and find your seats.  The workshop should take about 3 hours and will start promptly at 6:30pm.
• We will be using paint and stain so guests shouldn’t wear your favorite clothes – accidents do happen.
• Registration closes 1 week prior to the event to allow time to cut and prep the materials and have the studio well staffed.
• We are a licensed establishment – BYOB is not permitted.  Beer, wine and hard seltzers as well as soda and water are available for purchase.

At Board & Brush Creative Studio, our goal is to turn you into a “DIY master” by educating you to understand and appreciate the beauty of raw materials—the wood, the knots, the color variations and the simple imperfections that will make your project unique. Distressing, sanding with the grain, and staining are a few of the important steps we will guide you through to make your personalized wood sign look as though it has been with you for years—like a vintage heirloom.

Never used a hammer, sand paper, or a power tool? Never added picture hangers to a home décor sign to hang on your wall? Never waxed wood to protect it from the elements and make it glisten in the light? Don’t worry! We will teach you all of these skills.
